Dede Westbrook to have workout with the Vikings on Saturday

The Minnesota Vikings have had one of their better offseasons in recent memory, but it doesn’t sound as if the front office is done making moves. After bringing in several players on the defensive side of the ball earlier this year, it sounds like the team is looking to beef up their receiving core ahead of training camp.

Former Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook posted a picture outside of the Vikings training facility Friday morning and will reportedly work out for the Vikings on Saturday with a couple other tryout players.

Westbrook would be a great addition to the Vikings depth chart that lacks depth at the receiving position. His former wide receiver coach Keenan McCardell is now working in Minnesota, so a possible reunion would make sense.

Not only would the former Jaguars speedster help bring depth to a position that desperately needs it, but he would also be the best option the team has for punt returns as well.
