Report: Marvin Williams announces retirement following Bucks' playoff exit

Marc Spears of The Undefeated reported Tuesday night that Bucks forward Marvin Williams will retire from the NBA. Williams played part of this season with the Bucks, signing in February.

Spears played 15 years in the NBA, appearing in over 1,000 contests, averaging 10.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Williams played in 17 games with Milwaukee this past season, averaging four points per game, while also averaging 4.9 points per game in the Bucks' nine playoff contests.

The veteran signed a pro-rated veteran's minimum contract with the Bucks in February after being waived and bought out by the Charlotte Hornets.

Williams was the #2 overall selection in the 2005 NBA Draft, one spot behind Andrew Bogut, who was picked by Milwaukee.
