Why Tua Tagovailoa's NFL Future is Already at a Crossroads

Colin Cowherd: “In Tua’s first month as a starter he was BENCHED and he got HURT. Nobody is talking about that. He got hurt in high school, hurt in college, and oh boy, hurt in the pros. His passing totals in his first four games were 93 yards, 248, 169, and 83. He’s averaging under 150 passing yards per start. There’s a lot of ‘WOW’ with all these quarterbacks. Kyler Murray’s legs – WOW. Lamar Jackson’s speed – WOW. Josh Allen’s size and arm – WOW. Justin Herbert’s arm and everything – WOW. With Tua and Dak Prescott it’s ‘…well, they’re winning!’ Miami is in a very interesting place. By late April the Jets are going to have Trevor Lawrence – ‘WOW’. The Bills already have Josh Allen – ‘WOW’. And Belichick is the best coach in football. You will have Tua. The inarguable two things he’s shown at every level is he’s accurate, and he gets hurt. Miami has Houston’s first round pick, who is going to be really bad the next month, so they may have the fifth or sixth pick in this draft. This is going to be the last time Brian Flores is going to have a top 5 pick. This is IT, and it’s an AWESOME quarterback Draft. This is why I believe you play Tua. Brian Flores is too good of a coach, and that’s too good of a defense for them to ever be picking this high again… You can’t tell me the Dolphins aren’t thinking about it [drafting another quarterback].” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Dolphins need to continue playing and closely evaluating rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, as Colin says Tua still hasn’t shown Miami enough to prove that he’s a legitimate franchise quarterback, and thus Miami could still draft a quarterback in the top 10 this year with the Dolphins getting the lowly Texans’ first round pick.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he doesn’t think Miami is very comfortable at this point looking towards a future with a first benched, and now injured Tagovailoa.
