Bucks limp back home after Dallas defeat

The Milwaukee Bucks have been great at getting leads. Their last two games, however, they have had trouble keeping them.

Thursday night in Dallas, the Bucks lost to the surging Mavericks, 116-101, despite a modest four-point lead with eight minutes remaining in regulation.

Dallas’ European dynamic duo of Luka Doncic (27) and Kristaps Porzingis (26) combined for 53 points, while Milwaukee was again without their leading scorer, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed his third straight game with knee soreness.

Without their reigning two-time NBA MVP in the lineup, the offense fell to Khris Middleton, who struggled from the field, hitting on just 6-27 from the field (22.2%), finishing with 14 points. Milwaukee was led by Donte DiVincenzo’s 22 points on 7-13 shooting: 6-10 from the three-point line.

The Bucks (32-19) come back home for one game Friday night against the Charlotte Hornets (26-24).
